Separation of sterols by vapor-programmed thin-layer chromatography

By vapor-programmed thin-layer chromatography on silica gel, it was possible to separate cholestanol from cholesterol and stigmastanol from ßbeta;-sitosterol. The method was applied for the analysis of ßbeta;-sitosterol-3-14C.
