Rapid, large-scale separation of fatty acid methyl esters has been accomplished with acid-washed Florisil impregnated with silver nitrate. Recovery of material was quantitative and the peaks contained only one type of fatty acid; i.e., saturated, monoenoic, or dienoic acid.
