About the Cover
COVER: Fluorescence photomicrographs of the three-dimensional distribution of apolipoprotein B (apoB) in control (top row) and brefeldin-A-treated (bottom row) HepG2 cells following a 2 h pulse with puromycin to deplete apoB. In control cells, apoB is seen throughout the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) as a low-intensity purple-blue signal. The brighter yellow-orange signal shows apoB in Golgi. In brefeldin-A-treated cells, transport of apoB from ER to Golgi is prevented and apoB accumulates in the central ER region of the cell. (See Sakata, Philips, and Dixon,
p. 1947.)
