About the Cover

Cover Figure

COVER: Two-photon fluorescence microscopy images of giant unilamellar vesicles (GUV) of palmitoyl oleoyl phosphatidylcholine containing the fluorescent probe LAURDAN. The effects of apolipoprotein A-I in three different conformations [in lipid-free form (top left), in 96 Å reconstituted HDL (top right), and in 78 Å reconstituted HDL (bottom)] were observed for about 2 h after addition to the GUV. Only the 78 Å particles solubilized lipids and changed the morphology of the GUV. (See Tricerri et al., p. 187.)
