COVER: Fluorescence microscopy of normal (top row), NPC heterozygous (middle row), and NPC homozygous (bottom row) fibroblasts stained for caveolin-2 (left column) and cholesterol (middle column). As is evident in the merged image (right column), the caveolin-2 containing trans-Golgi network is cholesterol enriched in normal fibroblasts but relatively cholesterol deficient in NPC heterozygous and NPC homozygous fibroblasts.
