About the Cover
COVER:
Hematoxylin and eosin stained liver sections from female mice on phytol diets revealed multifocal
microgranulomas (arrowheads, top right), single cell hepatocyte necrosis or apoptosis (single short
arrow, top right and middle left), hepatocytomegaly (long arrow, middle left), and bizarre mitotic
figures (double short arrows, top right, middle left, and middle right). Male phytol-fed livers
contained multifocal midzonal hepatocyte fatty vacuolation (double arrowheads, bottom right).
No significant lesions were observed in control-fed animals (top left, female, and bottom left, male).
Original magnification, X400.
