About the Cover
COVER:
Filipin staining for free cholesterol (in red), and immunofluorescence
staining for the lysosome associated membrane protein
LAMP-1 (in green), in mouse embryonic fibroblasts deficient in both
mannose 6-phosphate receptors. The accumulation of free
cholesterol in lysosomal vesicles is due to mistargeting of the NPC2
protein, which is needed for transport of cholesterol out of lysosomes.
