COVER:
Local overexpression of 1,2-acyl CoA:diacylglyceroltransferase-1 (DGAT1, green)
in rat anterior tibialis muscle by gene electroporation. Myosin heavy chain type I,
reflecting type I (slow) muscle fibers, is stained in red, the remainder of the
fibers are fast type IIa or IIb fibers. The basement membrane protein laminin is
stained blue to identify individual muscle fibers. Gene electroporation can be used
to overexpress DGAT1 in muscle in a non-fiber-type selective fashion.
