About the Cover
COVER: Vitamin E (E) associates with microsomes. Induction of lipoprotein synthesis leads to vitamin E secretion with chylomicrons (CM), and this secretion is decreased in the presence of microsomal triglyceride transfer protein (MTP) antagonists and secretory inhibitors brefeldin A and monensin. The vitamin E efflux pathway is independent of lipoprotein synthesis. It is inhibited by glyburide and augmented by exogenous HDL. ER, endoplasmic reticulum. (See Anwar et al., p. 1261.)
