About the Cover
COVER: Shown is an electron micrograph of a lung lamellar body (highlighted in false color) whose phospholipid-rich internal lamellae gives this lysosomal-derived storage organelle a structure reminiscent of the hydrogen clouds of Jupiter. Lamellar bodies, which are critical for surfactant production and lung function, depend upon the lipid transport activity of ABCA3 as described by Fitzgerald et al. (See Fitzgerald et al., p. 621.)
