When you complete the subscription activation process, you will create a user name and password. You are the only one licensed to use this password. You may not share it with anyone, this includes students, colleagues, and lab members. If any of these require access also, your institution should consider purchasing an institutional subscription.
We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.
If your institution has a print subscription, this includes access to JLR On-Line also. This institutional subscription automatically gives you access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.
If your institution does not have a print subscription, it may subscribe to an online-only version of JLR at a lower price. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.
Yes, the electronic version (online access) is included in the price of a print subscription for both individuals and institutions. This will continue for the foreseeable future. Online-only subscriptions (without a print version) are also available. At present, a print-only subscription is not available.
You may wish to purchase an Individual print subscription which provides access to the electronic version or you can purchase an on-line only subscription. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents and abstracts (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
