COVER: Ceramide has been proposed to regulate diverse cellular processes by influencing
membrane properties and by directly binding to effector proteins. Dysregulation of
ceramide metabolism results in altered cellular responses and has been implicated
in many diseases. Advances over the past decade have improved our understanding of
