The widely used traditional RNA-seq protocols have intrinsic limitations that prevent the discovery of highly modified small non-coding RNAs. A newly developed PANDORA-seq overcomes RNA modification-elicited sequence interferences and unveils a tsRNA/rsRNA-enriched small non-coding RNA landscape in murine atherosclerotic intima.
